SriLankan Airlines commences new service to Coimbatore

SriLnkan Airlines received traditional water cannon salute at Coimbatore airport to mark the inaugural flight UL 193. Coimbatore is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu state of India.

With this new addition there will be a total of 126 flights per week between SriLanka and India covering 14 destinations in India.

Earlier this month two other Indian destinations, Hyderabad and Visakapattanam, were connected to Colombo.

The four flights per week to Coimbatore would be extended to daily flights sooner or later.

Coimbatore is the 14th largest city and Hyderabad is 4th largest city of India.
